Greedy Hooker: Cops are the pimp hand of government

(GREED) – The government is typically personified by Uncle Sam. A more fitting fictional character is Daddy Sam, your pimp.

Daddy Sam takes a cut of your earnings, tells you what you can put in your body, recommends drugs to take the edge off, establishes zones where you can work, sets pay, establishes the lines that aren’t to be crossed, and slaps you down when you break a rule — or you don’t, sometimes it’s just because he feels like it. All of this is done in the name of protecting you.

Your government performs the exact same actions, for the exact same stated reasons. The government has different branches or arms and at the end of one of those arms is the police force. The pimp hand. They’ll smack you down and extract a fee.

Just like the pimp hand, the cops don’t consider whether what they’re doing is right or wrong. They just do what they’re told.

Not all cops! Yes, all cops. See, I’m not talking about brutality or corruption. I’m talking about their basic function. Their basic function is not to protect you, it’s to keep you in line. Cops have never been there for us, the little people. They’re there to serve their masters: the people with the money who will use violence to keep us in check. That’s what they do.

But Jane! They protect us from murderers, thieves and rapists! That’s the exact same thing a pimp says. Do they really do that, though? We all know cops don’t even test the rape kits collected. We know that 1 out of 3 murders goes unsolved. We also know that police spend millions each year to make sure you don’t have a plant their masters told them was bad. Oh, but that same plant turned into a pill and sold by one of their masters is totally cool — as long as you have a permission slip from the government.

But Jane! Without the police there would be violence everywhere. There’s violence everywhere now and the cops put more than 50,000 people in the hospital last year. So now, not just do we have the violence caused by bad people, we have the violence caused by the “good” people. Maybe we should just start looking out for each other and ourselves. It would probably be a whole lot safer.
