Are you really a hooker?

(GREED) – Yes, Daniel, I’m really a hooker. I don’t walk the streets. I never have. I may not be your typical prostitute, but I have sex for money.

I don’t have the standard low self-worth, drug addiction, or daddy issues. Well, maybe a little bit of daddy issues. I came from a normal family. — Insert tragic event right after high school — I was on the dance team in high school, needed money, so to the strip club I went.

After a few months, I was offered a job as an escort. I’m pretty sure I was recruited because I was young, had all my teeth, and didn’t have a criminal record. Still don’t, because lawyers like sex too. I plan on keeping it that way.

After a few years of working through an agency, I had my own list of clients. I still have a connection to an agency, but I mostly work for myself. The personal experiences I think you’re looking for are the darker sides of sex work. Do they happen? Every. Single. Day. Do they happen to me? Not yet.

I was very fortunate in my “career path”. My first agency was high priced. The cost eliminated a lot of the seedier elements. My experiences are definitely not the norm.

There’s probably a warning that should go in here. There’s no glamour in sex work. Is it all horror stories? It can be. Like any job, it depends a lot on what you do. Substance abuse leads lots of people down a very dark alley. Making it your lifestyle, destroys you. Part of the reason for my alternate identity is that many of those who know me personally have no clue what I do. There’s a lot of ifs involved, but it can be just another job. I make good money, and in another year I’ll be the ex-Greedy Hooker. I’ll have saved enough for tuition and living expenses for six years. One day… I might be your kid’s teacher or your accountant.
